Aldo van Eyck's playgrounds, like
his buildings are based on the concept of inbetweening.
Although the playgrounds are far less known than his buildings,
Liane Lefaivre argues that they form not only his most
important body of work but also one of the most important
contributions to urban design thinking of the 20th century.
